Best of Baking With New Berry & Thread
We are thrilled that our newest Berry & Thread bakeware has arrived just in time to kick off every baker’s favorite time of year, the pumpkin spice bounty of fall that leads directly into festive holiday treats around the corner! We’re jubilantly rolling up our sleeves and whisking out our rolling pins, dusting off our treasured cookbooks and leafing through our time-worn recipes…may baking season commence!
Take stock of your entertaining trove of bakeware and serving pieces to ready for the season of gatherings that lies ahead. Every tastemaker’s cupboard should include a few staple essentials to rely upon, from a grand rectangular baker for feeding a crowd to a beautiful pie dish for desserts and a favorite cake pedestal for presenting scrumptious creations.
To keep things tidy, we’re introducing our new space-efficient nesting sets, created to snugly accommodate multiple baking pieces in one. Practical and pretty, these stackable styles save space and are simultaneously lovely for open-shelves and displaying on the table.
With efficiency, ease and style in equal measure, our bakeware features delicious design details such as larger handles for better grip and lidded dishes for baking in the oven without burning and keeping warm while serving. The icing on the cake? All pieces are festooned with our classic berry & thread trim in a versatile whitewash glaze that can blissfully go into the freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher.
With goodies on the mind and a spirit of Thanksgiving in the air, autumn is our “take and bake” season, when we love to double our recipes and gift the second batch to a friend, neighbor, coach or colleague. This sweet tradition never fails to delight, especially when bestowing your great-aunt’s coveted banana bread recipe in our charming loaf pan for them to keep.
With a set of handles and a petite lid, mini “cocottes” (French for small baking dish) also make wonderful gifts when baked with sticky toffee pudding or berry crumble, and are marvelous for individual servings of soups and savories for buffets and place settings.
From midweek family favorites to your best holiday roast, our rectangular baking dish features a beautiful scalloped edge reminiscent of a ruffled apron and our iconic berry & thread trim. Fittingly, one of our favorite recipes to fill it with is the irresistible pairing of Mary Berry’s Cottage Pie — another icon, another berry! Here is her recipe, taken from the well-worn pages of her book, Mary Berry Cooks:
Not to be forgotten, including little helpers in your baking adventures is a recipe for pure happiness! We love gifting them with their very own apron and dish to keep once they make the recipe, as a moment to cherish, and a new tradition to share. The kitchen may be entirely dusted with flour and strewn with dishes, but your heart and home will be full.
