At Juliska, we love a grand occasion, an over-the-top party, a fabulous fete! However, we can’t have a sumptuously set table beneath the stars awash with glowing candlelight and champagne bubbles every day — therefore, equally as important is designing dinnerware that delivers the same frisson of joy and sense of romance to the table — with all the practicality required for daily use. Would we wear a ballgown to the grocery store if we could? The answer is clearly yes, but alas, not sustainable. To remedy this, we created glassware that functions like the proverbial, super-chic, go-to, little black dress that you reach for time and time again. Your “LBD” for BLD (breakfast, lunch dinner), if you will!
Without further ado, meet Bilbao, our newest collection of everyday glassware. Heartily constructed for celebrating all of life’s little moments, while standing up beautifully to the rigors of routine, our everyday glass is crafted of sturdy stuff with a streamlined aesthetic. The added durability does not mean it’s any less dazzling — just like our Bohemian glassware, each piece is handmade and mouth-blown. The difference? Our everyday glass is made by artisans in Portugal, while our Bohemian collections are made in the Czech Republic (click here to read more about our Bohemian glass).
Inspired by the beauty of the Basque Country and the crown molding of classical architecture, our Bilbao collection also includes ceramic dinnerware and hand-turned wooden serving pieces. The versatile combination of rich textures, natural accents and neutral palette is a striking balance of modernity, rich patina and easygoing elegance that transitions beautifully from day to night and season to season.
